For adventure lovers, ride the unique sea tractor and explore historic Burgh Island or, for families and those wanting a more relaxed time, enjoy a perfect day on the sandy beach with the children.
Venus is open every day (except Christmas Day) between 10am and 5pm with extended hours during the summer.
Sea:
Shallow waters for paddling. Rock pools for exploring. Lifeguards on duty during the season. Perfect for windsurfing, canoeing and boogie boarding, particularly at high tide. Water tested regularly.
Beach:
Acres of golden sands at low tide. Perfect for sandcastles. Beach cleaned daily in the summer. Bigbury on Sea has been awarded the 2011 Blue Flag Award.
The Venus Cafe:
Located right next to the beach with wonderful views across the bay. Serving hot and cold food and drinks all day. Outdoor seating and takeaway. Open from 10am-5pm daily (except Christmas Day). We operate extended hours during July and August from 9am-6pm and later if the weather is good.
Dogs:
Restricted access. No dogs on the main beach from 1 May to 30 September.
