BIGBURY-ON-SEA

This stunning beach location is in an area of ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and boasts the largest sandy beach in South Devon.  One of the most popular spots to learn to surf and for windsurfing.

Our seating (indoors or outside) offers amazing views across to the iconic Burgh Island and Bantham. It’s the perfect spot for breakfast a fully English or our new fluffy pancake stack with maple sauce with a fresh artisan bean cappuccino or latte roasted to perfection by Craft House coffee. Or why not try our delicious Venus-style ‘fish n fries’ with a delicious European wine or pint of local Bays Brewery beer?

Our menu includes some perfect balmy summer dishes. Home made kalamatta olive tapenade and whipped feta. We have sourced the BEST feta we have tried ever. Straight from Greece; crumbly and soo tasty. Perfect with our Greek salad and Greek fries. 

We have other amazing dishes. The ever popular Venus Tacos sees all the favourites- panko Devon chicken breast and Coconut prawn.  After a long absence, our MSC sustainable sole fillets also make a come back in the Tacos section.  And brand new - a stunning over baked baguette stuffed with garlic mayonnaise chicken - you need to love garlic for this one.

The Breakfast Burrito (egg, cheese, bacon and hash brown with sriracha sauce) has been joined by a plant based one with scrambled tofu, vegan sausages, Cathedral City grated dairy free cheese, hash brown and sriracha. New this summer is a spicy tuna burrito made with dolphine safe tuna, black beans, turmeric rice, cheddar, sriracha and mayonnaise.

Our breakfast menu has undergone a face lift with the addition of scrambled tofu and baked red pappers on the veggie dishes. New this Summer is the addition of Moving Mountain vegan sausages replacing ones we have used for over 20 years. Moving Mountains sausage represents a taste shift for us bringing the more modern profile of vegan products. All of our breakfast baps are available all day joining our gluten free sausage and bacon sandwich. We now have 2 choices for gluten free bread - a seeded bap (cntains EGG) and the Kife & Fork farmhouse loaf. Both delicious i their own ways.

 With acres of perfect sand, the unique Burgh Island and spectacular views across some of the best South Hams coastline, Bigbury-on-Sea offers the ideal family day out.
