Venus is open every day (except Christmas Day) between 10am and 5pm with extended hours during the summer.
Sea:
Shallow waters for paddling. Rock pools for exploring. Lifeguards on duty during the season. Perfect for windsurfing, canoeing and boogie boarding, particularly at high tide. Water tested regularly.
Beach:
Acres of golden sands at low tide. Perfect for sandcastles. Beach cleaned daily in the summer.
Dogs:
Restricted access. No dogs on the main beach from 1 May to 30 September.
The Venus Cafe:
Located right next to the beach with wonderful views across the bay. Serving hot and cold food and drinks all day. Outdoor seating and takeaway. Open from 10am-5pm daily (except Christmas Day). We operate extended hours during July and August from 9am-6pm and later if the weather is good.

Fancy getting married at the beach? Venus at Blackpool Sands, South Devon is now a licensed approved premises for marriages and civil ceremonies, so it is possible to hold the whole of your special day at this truly stunning location.
Venus can cater for ceremonies up to 90 people and wedding receptions or wedding breakfasts for up to 150 guests with a marquee which enjoys uninterrupted views of the beach.
