The Venus Café is open every day of the year except Christmas Day from 8:30am-5pm with extended hours to 9pm for evening dining (Thurs-Sat until summer time).

The shop is now open for the summer.  No dogs are allowed on the beach.

Sea:
Lifeguards are on duty in July & August. Swimming, sailing, scuba diving, fishing and water sports are available, with a bathing raft in place in July and August. Water is tested by the Environment Agency.

Beach:
Cleaned daily in the summer. Sandpits for sand castles are available from May, weather permitting.

The Venus Beach Shop:
All you need for a great day on the beach. Buckets & spades, nets, inflatable boats, turbo & fun tubes, boogie boards, fins, masks, snorkels, wetsuits, swimsuits, footballs, frisbees, cricket bats, boules, beach shoes, sun cream, towels, wind breaks, beach mats, sunglasses and hats. Deck chairs and windbreaks can also be hired. Excellent range of clothes & accessories by Weird Fish, Onfire and Lazy Jack’s for adults and Weird Fish/Earth Nymph for the children.  The Shop is currently being used as an additional seating area for dogs (along with the prom area).

Watersports:
Stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and boogie boarding are available at Blackpool Sands. 

Wetsuits, snorkelling equipment and accessories can be purchased or hired.  Instruction is available on an hourly, 2 hourly, half day or full day basis.  Check out the watersports available at Blackpool Sands.

The Venus Café:
Located right next to the beach with stunning views of the sea and the cliffs. Serving hot and cold food and drinks all day. Open 8:30am-5pm every day. Covered & outdoor seating available.

Dogs:
No dogs are permitted in the car park or on the beach from March to November.

Blackpool Sands was awarded the 2011 Blue Flag Award and the 2009 Resort Beach Award.

BEACH WEDDINGS in Devon

Want to get married at the beach? Venus at Blackpool Sands, South Devon is now a licensed approved premises for marriages and civil ceremonies, so you can now hold the whole of your special day here.

Venus can cater for ceremonies up to 90 people and wedding receptions or wedding breakfasts for up to 150 guests with a marquee right next to the beach.
