Unspoilt East Portlemouth has the best of both worlds.
South-facing East Portlemouth enjoys the sun throughout the day. Blessed with golden fine sand and three stunning beaches it is the perfect setting for a day at the seaside.
Why not combine the day at the beach with a walk around some of the most famous coastline in Britain? A well-maintained path provides a perfect setting to enjoy the outstanding views.
Venus is open between 10am and 5pm from Easter to the end of October and from 9am until 6pm in July & August.
Beach:
The beaches of Fisherman's Cove, Millbay and Small's Cove combine to provide plenty of golden fine sand which is perfect for sandcastles.
Water:
Ideal for paddling. Rock pools galore. Water tested by the Environment Agency.
The Venus Cafe:
Located right next to the beach with commanding views of the estuary and Salcombe. Serving hot and cold food and drinks all day. Outdoor seating and takeaway. Open every day from 10am until 5pm from Easter to the end of October with extended opening hours of 9am-6pm during July and August. Planning restrictions mean we cannot open in the winter.
The Venus Beach Shop:
All the favourite games, buckets and spades. The shop is integrated into the Café.
Dogs:
No restrictions. Please clean up and bring your scoop with you.
