Venus use local food and drink suppliers whenever possible as part of our purchasing policy to buy local, tasty, healthy and, whenever possible, organic products.

Venus champions the use of local food and drink supplies wherever possible. Each year Venus spends around £500,000 on local goods and services from 71 Devon and Cornish companies. Around 82% of Venus's expenditure is with local firms - only packaging is sourced from outside of the area as it cannot be sourced locally.
Our purchasing policy is to buy local, tasty, healthy products rather than the cheapest options and wherever possible we source organic products.
Michael Smith, Venus' Managing Director, is keen to support and help develop sustainability in the regional economy through enterprise and innovation. As such, Michael is also Chairman of Food and Drink Devon, an association which represents a membership of like-minded businesses that are dedicated to good quality local food and drink.
