Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Stand Up Paddle Boarding, or SUP for short, is one of the fastest growing watersports and is now available with Venus Riders at Blackpool Sands and Bigbury On Sea.
Using a board similar in shape to a longboard, you glide along the surface of the water using a long paddle. SUP is the ideal sport for the whole family to enjoy.
Venus Riders offer tuition, equipment hire and SUP tours along the coast and estuaries of the South Hams. Equipment hire prices are (including buoyancy aids):

Types of tuition available and prices per person (except Family SUP lesson) including buoyancy aids are as follows:
- SUP Taster (£39) 30 minutes tuition + 2 hours unsupervised hire to practise

SUP Lesson (£45)
2 hour tuition with more instructor time to master SUP techniques
- SUP Tour (£45)
2 hour tour - perfect for exploring the South Hams coastline - Family SUP Lesson (£139 for a family of 4) 2 hour private lesson - £30 for additional members
