The stunning Broadsands beach offers the best beach in the Bay. As a bay within a bay Broadsands is safe for swimming and shallow waters. Terrific for watersports or just kicking back for a relaxing day with the family. We have just completed our stunning new outdoor decks offering over 100 alfresco seats to enjoy the stunning views and sunshine.
We offer a menu for all tastes. Yummy breakfasts and all day baps and breakfast burritos, whole baked locally caught fish, grass fed Devon beef and home made English chicken breast burgers. Venus Tacos are delicious, served with Asian salad and sriracha mayo. We offer panko chicken, pollock in pomodoro sauce, grass fed beef, plant based Vish fingers and coconut king prawn.
An innovative new steak sandwich pushes the Venus offer into new territory. Top rump minute steak on sourdough with Maille Dijon mayo, caramelised red onion, grated cheddar, steak strips (M) topped with sauteed red peppers.
We have some terrific gluten free options this Spring. We are using the fabulous Knife & Fork gluten free bread for our gluten free breakfast and sausage sandwich (McWhinney's gluten free sausage is delicious) or to accompany our home made Dahl soup. The jewel is the Venus Chilli non Carne - packed with veg - tomatoes, beans, lentils, chick peas, onions, peppers, celery, carrots and mushrooms served on a bed of turmeric basmati rice.
Broadsands offers whole oven baked locally caught fish every day - mackerel or Torbay sole. Served with wakame salad and home made bubble and squeak. A newcomer is popcorn calamari. Lightly dusted providing a tasty product which is enhance with a lime mayo. Calamari as it should be.
Broadsands is one of Torbay's best loved seaside destinations with spectacular views of the two Brunel steam-railway viaducts across the bay – make sure you wave to the passengers on route to Dartmouth, Churston or Goodrington. The sheltered bay attracts both locals and visitors whatever your age or agility. With its calm and crystal-clear water, the beach is perfect for bucket & spade family days out, plus year-round water sports available for hire.

If the day is a little cooler, then you can sit inside our lovely bright and welcoming beach café. You’ll be spoilt for choice as all our seating offers outstanding views of the Jurassic coastline reaching over to Torquay and beyond.
There is plenty of onsite parking and your four-legged friends will find a warm welcome and a dog treat from our canine-loving team. We even have a dog menu offering nutritious and luxurious all natural chews and some stunning dog ice cream.
