Measuring our impact on the CO2 footprint is crucially important to help protect our planet for future generations. This is why we monitor a number of key elements such as electric and water usage to ensure we are staying true to our mission.

We believe shifting to eco-friendly products should be the priority in order to protect the planet for future generations.

The introduction of home compostable palm plates and cutlery to replace ceramic crockery has been a great success saving 3.4 tonnes of CO2 per site.

We use cans of wine for 90% of our wine sales.  The savings on CO2 and wastage are phenomenal. For further information on these benefits of canned wine please click here.

Our average water usage per café is less than the average British household.

Venus’ electric usage is ½ of an average take away outlet in the High Street.

A large number of small steps count on a daily basis.

We use light and time sensors and LED bulbs.

The equipment we use is dual control and often powers down when not used for a while.

We only purchase the most energy efficient fridges and freezers, and staff turn off equipment when not needed.
