BREAKFAST

A great way to start the day. Traditional breakfast with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. We use top quality ingredients. Devon free range sausages made to a Venus recipe, English dry cure bacon, Devon free range eggs, Heinz baked beans and an amazing sour dough artisan thick sliced bread made for Venus in Cornwall. We offer vegan and gluten free breakfast. Served until 11:30am.

VENUS HOMEMADE BURGERS

Venus grass fed beef burgers are made to a secret Venus recipe using Devon beef. They are grass fed cattle and the burgers are gluten free. The male calves are 'saved' at birth and raised on this beautiful farm where they roam and feed healthily for 24 months. The beef is aged for 30 days before being hand made into Venus beefburgers.

SEAFOOD

All our fish products are made from either local day boat fish or MSC sustainable catch. Broadsands & Teignmouth serve whole mackerel and Torbay sole daily. Our fish n chips is petit sole from MSC approved sources. A favourite are our coconut king prawns - panko crumbed and served with guava mayo.

SEAFOOD SPECIALS

Sourcing all our whole fish from the Plymouth & Brixham ports, they cook up beautifully.

TACOS

These are fast becoming the Venus favourite. The key is in the base salads - our sesame based home made Asian salad with garlic mayo slaw form the crunch and exotic flavour which is then topped with our own sriracha mayo. Currently our menu has 5 options - panko English free range chicken breast, coconut king prawn, ground beef, a vegan vish finger and a new fish tacos containing locally landed baked pollock in a home made pomodoro sauce.

ALL DAY FAVOURITES

We know many want to enjoy a breakfast experience all day. So our most popular bacon and sausage baps and the new breakfast and vegan burritos are now available every minute we are open. They are a perfect quick 'meal' after a bracing walk or a fun time in the water. The Venus pasty made in Cornwall to our unique recipe.

CAKES TRAY BAKES

We make all our own cakes in Venus kitchens using traditional recipes. We only use West Country butter, the best sugars and chocolates and real almonds. Every cake is full of flavour and taste and flavour is everything. They are all hand made and our tray bakes are then wrapped in home compostable wrapper to significantly reduce any single use plastic we create on the beach.

CAKES SPONGES

Our Venus hand made sponge cakes are lovingly made using the finest ingredients. The base is quality West Country butter and flours. Jams are made in Cornwall. Our cakes really do taste as good as they look - made to traditional recipes with no short cuts or cheap ingredient substitution.

DESSERTS

These desserts are hand made in Venus kitchen to traditional classical recipes. We ensure lemon posset tastes of lemon, sticky toffee pudding is just that. Nothing bought in and modified with cheaper ingredients here!

ICE CREAM TUBS

All tubs we sell are home compostable and contain no plastic. Packed with a wooden spoon, our tubs include local, dairy free and the indulgent. We source sorbet from Salcombe Dairy Ice Cream - locally made. Our dairy ice cream tubs are made by Jude's - who share our passion for quality, 'real' flavour and above all a company really working hard on minimising their environmental footprint. Tubs are easier to eat on the beach and to carry. Our tub range offers dairy, gluten free and vegan products.

SIDES

We are famous for our cheesy chips. No American cheese flavoured sauce here - but English grated cheddar on top of English skin on fries. Fancy some salad - our home made Asian salad (sesame, red pepper, celery a red onion) and garlic mayo slaw offer a refreshing addition to your main meal.

KIDS MEALS

We only serve nutritious healthy options for children. Normally smaller portions or home-made ensuring the whole family can enjoy the best food on the go.

MILK SHAKES

These really are amazing thick shakes made with real cream and milk. Our flavours come from 'real' ingredients - strawberries, home-made chocolate brownie & Belgian chocolate pieces and salted caramel shakes made with Jude's delicious sauces. And a true inspiration - a Biscoff shake made with a spread of crushed lotus Biscoff biscuits. A true thick shake which you eat with a spoon. We banned all straws 20 years ago!

HOT DRINKS

All our hot drinks come in a home compostable cup and lid. This significant investment in plant based zero plastic cups and lids ensures Venus activities do not harm our beaches and oceans. The cups compost completely within a few weeks leaving no toxins and residue. On the land they can be added to your home compost heap - once you have used them to grow a few seeds. We use Cornish semi skimmed milk and the finest Arabica coffee beans. Our hot chocolate is to die for - creamy and so chocolatey. Venus tea is a Venus blend from a single estate plantation in Sri Lanka. Oat and coconut milks served free of charge. Our Mexican Swiss method decaffeinated bean coffee is also available at the same price..

COLD DRINKS

None of our drinks are served in plastic. The stars are our canned drinks (no PET plastic bottles here) saving tonnes of CO2 and much more easily recycled. Including the first Cornish canned water made especially for Venus. San Pellegrino and Belvoir cans complement the range and the flavours are subtle and free of any nasties. Our favourite is the Devon apple juice pressed in Devon from English apples.

SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM

Venus was the first in the country to be serving the stunningly smooth Jude's new soft serve mix. It tastes amazing and even better is allergen free. Served in a cone (gluten free also available) and a Cadbury's flake make for the perfect '99.

LOLLIES

Jude's low sugar lollies are perfect for the families wanting a treat without worrying about sugar spikes. Most importantly, they are stunningly full of flavour.

BEER

Draught and canned beers - gluten free and alcohol free avaiable

WINE

Wine by the can - superb 175ml and large (250ml) glass portions - perfect for a glass free beach visit. The wines in a can are really good and amaze customers in their quality. Wine by the bottle is also available at Broadsands but be aware cans save 70% CO2 over a glass bottle. Sitting inside - wine by the glass and bottle available. PLEASE do not take glass onto the beach.

FOR DOGS

Our dogs deserve to be spoilt just like us. So we have a range of nutritious treats - boar, venison and rabbit. And a delicious dog ice cream to finish off.
